Oulton Park Races 10, 11, 12 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
Raining from 7.30 as I arrived at the Circuit and did not look much better for the rest of the day.
Poor driving conditions treated the spectators to some fantastic racing and some really school boy errors.
As well as being a photographer I have a passion for Motor racing and some of the driving I saw on Sunday was not on.
Are we watching bumper cars or watching some of the finest tin top racers in the world? I will let you work that one out.
Safety car after safety car we all like some spills but £30 to get in we want racing, it was like first day back at school for some of the drivers, and Matt Neal’s move on Shedden at lodge corner was not racing but clear stupidity.
I hope we get some rules on overtaking and let’s keep the sport as racing not bumper cars.
Gordon Shedden, Jason Plato and Mat Jackson shared the wins this weekend and provided us with some excellent races, but we do need to be careful about it how they race and I hope we will have some good clean racing at Croft Circuit on 18th-19th June.
Championship looks good for Neal at the moment as Plato has lost a bit of momentum.
