Demand from homebuyers is currently outstripping supply, according to local estate agency Connells in Kidderminster.

In line with the traditional autumn flurry of activity across the housing market, the agent recorded an almost 20 per cent increase nationally in buyers registering their interest with its branches in October 2012 compared to the same month last year.

However, the supply of properties for sale still has some way to go in order to meet high demand from buyers. With this in mind, Connells in Kidderminster is urging anyone who is thinking of moving home to market their property as soon as possible and take advantage of current buyer interest.

“We are seeing a higher number of buyers this October which is great news for anyone looking to sell their home,” says Area Partner, Joanne Richards.

“I would urge anyone who is thinking of selling to consider marketing their property straightaway. The jump of buyers in October is very encouraging news for sellers and the housing market generally, but we need to get more homes for sale in order to maintain momentum.”

Connells estate agency has seen higher levels of activity across the local market in September and October. Autumn is traditionally a busier time of year for home buyers and sellers as they look to finalise their home move before the Christmas holiday.
