THE Mayor of Redditch, Councillor Wanda King, officially opened David Wilson Homes Mercia’s Enfield Gardens development on Harris Close, Redditch.

The event, which was attended by VIPs, David Wilson Homes staff and future residents, marked the official opening of the development.

The Mayor unveiled a plaque and planted a tree in the grounds of the development before touring the show home and getting a sense of what the housebuilder was trying to achieve in the area.

Upon opening the new development and visiting the brand new show homes, Councillor King said: "It’s fantastic that a housebuilder, with David Wilson Homes’ reputation, wants to build its homes in Redditch. I am sure this is going to be a fantastic development and a real asset to the local area.”

John Fitzgerald, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Mercia said: “We are extremely grateful that Councillor King was able to attend this important event. It is fantastic to have the support of the local Mayor and she was pleased to be able to plant a tree at the development.

“We also invited two customers who have bought properties at the development which was a great opportunity for them to meet their neighbours over some nice food.”
