Young visitors to Haden Hill Park this month have the chance to learn skills including how to construct a shelter, outdoor cookery and knowing what is safe to eat in the woods.

Instructors from the Kinver-based company Closer To The Edge will be hosting the free survival days – open to those aged between eight and 18 – on Friday August 8, Friday August 15, Friday August 22 and Tuesday August 26.

The sessions, funded by Sandwell Council's parks and countryside management service, run from 10am to 3.30pm.

There is also a climbing wall and archery sessions available on Saturday August 9 from 10am to 4pm.

Booking for all events is essential. For more information contact Amy Robinson on 01384 569 444 or 07813 021 044.
