Music and cricket set to be a hit for charity

REGULARS from an Amblecote pub are getting set to mix music and sport to raise cash for good causes.
Rockers Driver will be providing the sounds for an evening of entertainment featuring a charity auction to support the County Air Ambulance at The Maverick Pub, Brettell Lane.
The event, on Friday August 15, will follow a cricket match between the pub’s darts team and regulars, who are taking on a team from West Midlands Fire Service at Pedmore Cricket Club.
The match will also be a fundraiser for flying medics plus fire service charities, the game starts at 3pm and the auction will begin at around 7pm.
