Arabian dancing, theatre performances and a barbecue are amongst the attractions at a Multicultural Fun Day hosted by The Lighthouse Centre this Saturday (August 16).

Visitors also enjoy the chance to sample foods from different cultures, plus a disco, jumble sale and plenty of activities to keep children amused.

Lighthouse Centre co-ordinator Wendy Riley said: “We are aiming to bring the community together, with the hope of breaking down barriers, raising cultural awareness – and having fun!”

The open event, which takes place at 11am to 3pm at The Lighthouse Centre, Andrew Road, Halesowen, is supported by community groups including the police, fire service and the Zion Christian Centre.
