Quireboys add Ginger to their party mix

BRITROCK band The Quireboys are reuniting with an old friend to mark 20 years since they hit the big time.

The band, who found fame with their 1989 debut album A Bit of What You Fancy, are heading for a gig at JB’s in Dudley with support from The Wildhearts, featuring ex-Quireboys guitarist Ginger.

The Quireboys seemed set for superstardom in 1990 with an EMI record deal, management by Sharon Osbourne and top producer Bob Rock signed up for their second album.

However the success the Grunge scene changed the music business overnight after disappointing album sales the band split up in 1993.

In 2001 vocalist Spike (pictured) and guitarist Guy Griffin reformed The Quireboys and they have been touring and recording ever since.

The Quireboys and The Wildhearts will be on stage at JB’s on Saturday December 12.
