WORDSLEY rock band Martyr De Mona have scooped a coveted record deal and a host of musical prizes after winning the Robin 2/Madhouse Live Band of the Year Competition.
The band bagged the top prize after fighting off Rowley Regis metallers Hostile at the December 4 grand final at Bilston's Robin 2.
As well as the record deal with Birmingham's Madhouse label, Martyr De Mona also won a publishing deal, £1,000 cash, professional live DVD shoot and a professional photo shoot. Runners-up Hostile were awarded £150 musical equipment and professional PA hire for any Midlands gig.
