A newly formed young people's choir called Pure Harmony held its debut concert to a sell-out audience of 400 people at Holy Trinity church, Old Hill.
The Christmas concert, on Saturday December 8 also included items by parent choir Voices in Harmony and soloist Hilary Barrett.
Voices in Harmony secretary Bill McBain said: "Pure Harmony simply stole the show. "Formed only in September the youth choir is still on the look out for new members between the ages of six and 16."
The £850 proceeds from the concert have been donated to the local branch of the British Polio Society.
Voices in Harmony has raised more than £45,000 since it was formed ten years ago and holds six concerts a year. It is sending £850 to WATOTO, a Nigerian charity looking after children orphaned by the scourge of AIDS.
The group's next concert is a St George's Day event in Blackheath on Saturday April 19. It is on the lookout for a music-reading bass and tenor singer. Visit the choir's website at www.vihchoir.org or call Tracy on 01384 831969 or Lis on 0121 421 6474.
