Eccentric Envy avoid indie influence

ENVY and Other Sins say they are purveyors of eccentric English pop music who avoid the indie stereotype.

The four piece hail from around the UK but have a Black Country connection through their Dudley born drummer Jim Macaulay.

After beating 1,600 other artists to top spot in Channel 4 talent-search programme Mobile Act Unsigned, the band signed to A&M Records.

The deal gave the band the chance to work with Coldplay producer Danton Supple on their first album called We Leave At Dawn.

Their debut single, Highness, was released in early March and the band have just begun a month-long British tour.
