SEVENTH Tree is the fourth album by Goldfrapp and sees the electronic duo return to the more Air-esque type of music they are known for.
The album, supposedly influenced by classic 70s film The Wicker Man, is more in keeping with their debut Felt Mountain, as opposed to the glitter and glamour of Supernature.
The duo use elements of folk and a lot of ambient music which results in a warm, delicate, irresistible album.
Stand out tracks include Clowns, Little Bird, Cologne Cerrone Houdini and the current single A&E.
With great bands, the need to keep re-inventing themselves is important if they want to have a career which will last decades rather than a couple of albums.
With Seventh Tree, Goldfrapp have proven they can do this.
If you liked Goldfrapp's earlier albums you will adore this and if you like chilled out, gothic, melodic music you will love it.
