CD - Alive - Daft Punk
DAFT Punk is one of the most interesting dance acts the world has seen and this album is without doubt one of the best live dance records I've ever heard.
The band hit the scene in the 90s with a bang by releasing Homework, which revolutionised the dance landscape.
With such classics as Around the World and Da Funk, its heavy bass and beats made it essential.
Four years later, Discovery came out and although the change in direction from the first album left a lot of fans disappointed, the more chilled out sounds won a whole new audience and the album reached number two in the charts, spawning the massive club hit One More Time.
Human After All was released in 2005, which while not an instant classic, had some of the most unique hits the charts have seen.
This CD not only incorporates the best songs the three albums have to offer, but also mixes some great new melodies and ideas, even improving on the original tracks.
When you add the atmosphere the French crowd brings along with it, this album becomes a must.
