DVD - St Trinian’s (12)
THE girls of St Trinian's have been revamped for the 21st century and they're causing more mayhem than ever before.
The school is heading straight for bankruptcy and it's up to the girls to save the day with an ingenious plot to steal the painting "Girl With A Pearl Earring" from the National Gallery during the final of kids quiz show, "School Challenge".
The plot, as you would expect, is pretty thin but what makes up for this is the sheer enthusiasm that the cast throw into their work.
Rupert Everett plays two roles, that of St Trinian's headmistress Miss Frinton and also her brother, Carnaby.
He is both funny and sweet as the two feuding siblings and acting with yourself is never an easy thing to do.
Colin Firth plays the tough-thinking politician well but it's Russell Brand who steals the show as the smart talking conman, Flash Harry.
You can tell the cast are having a lot of fun and the girls are enjoying themselves immensely.
Pick it up and experience some good old fashioned girl power.
