Dance your way to fitness!

Fitness junkies can get their fix at Halesowen Leisure Centre by trying out new £17,000 dance mats.

The electronic mats work through a specialised computer system and staff at the centre hope they will attract new groups and individuals from all over the borough.

They were purchased after West Midlands Police and Dudley Primary Care Trust donated funds in recognition of a membership discount.

Councillor Charles Fraser-Macnamara, Dudley council cabinet member for leisure and culture, said: "We were delighted to receive these kind donations, which are a great present for the leisure centre.

"The council is committed to providing a variety of leisure activities for the people who live, work and play in the borough and the new mats will certainly enhance the great programme that we already offer."
