BEER enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a range of ales at a three-day Oktoberfest event organised by the Kidderminster Harriers Football Club.

The festival, which will be held at Aggborough Stadium, in Hoo Road, will run from 5pm to 11.30pm on Friday (October 28), 1pm to 11.30pm on Saturday (October 29), and 1pm to 9pm on Sunday (October 30).

A vast range of street food, live music and beer from across the world will be available throughout the three days.

On the Sunday, Kidderminster Harriers players will also be in attendance, as well as the first team manager and coaching team.

Beer will be provided from a number of breweries including Flying Dog Brewery, Green Duck Brewery, Brewdog, Castle Rock Brewery, Thornbridge and Sadlers Ales.

The Oktoberfest event will be the first of many events the club plans to host throughout the 2016/2017 season and all events will support their charity of the season, Scope.

Kelly Perks-Bevington, company director, said: “On October 28, 29 and 30, we will be offering a three-day Oktoberfest themed beer festival, offering a vast range of street food, live music and, of course, beer from all over the world.

“Each day will be a little bit different with a range of music, DJs and entertainment to suit all, as well as rotating street food from local partners.

“The event will take place at Aggborough, inside luxury heated marquees – so there’s no need to worry about the weather.

“We are really looking forward to the Oktoberfest event. It is the first big event at the club so far – and there are lots more to come.

“Tickets for the Oktoberfest event are still available, but the event will operate on a first come first served basis and there are limited tickets to sell for each day due to regulations on capacity.”

Music throughout the weekend will include performances from the Urban Horses, Mitchell Jinks, Barrell House Blues and the Empty Can.

German street food including schnitzels, bratwurst, currywurst, German gnocchi and pancrepes will be available, as well as cocktails, mocktails and coffee.

Children will be allowed to attend the festival on the Saturday and Sunday, between 1pm and 7pm, where there will be a craft corner and smoothie bar.

Tickets purchased in advance are £5 for one day or £12.50 for the weekend, and are available on khfcstore.co.uk/product/Oktoberfest.

Any tickets still available on the doors will be £7.50 for a day, and £15 for the weekend.
