BLACK Country blues/folk musician Sunjay Brayne will perform a homecoming gig as the last stop of his nationwide tour.
Hailed as one of the country’s brightest young stars by his peers, the Brierley Hill-based singer has been exciting audiences all over the UK, but will finish his latest tour with a show at Stourbridge venue Katie Fitzgerald’s on Thursday, November 24.
Drawing from a rich, musical and cultural background, Sunjay’s performances have been described as “mature & confident”, while his guitar playing has been hailed as “superb, brilliant, experienced, intricate & faultless”.
The 23-year-old, who was a finalist for the BBC’s Young Folk Awards in 2012 and won the Wath Festival Young Performers Award that same year, will perform tracks from his fourth album Black & Blues.
The album, a stripped down, solo acoustic offering comprising of 10 traditional blues songs, was launched at the Wollaston pub back in November last year.
