POPULAR folk band Eliza and the Bear are set to perform tracks from their debut album when they appear in the Midlands this week.

The indie group unveiled their self-titled album earlier this year, but are currently on tour and will be stopping off at Birmingham’s 02 Academy 2 on Sunday (December 4).

Earlier this year, the band recorded the title track from British indie film Kids in Love, which features We’re The Millers’ Will Poulter and Suicide Squad star Cara Delevingne.

James Kellegher, lead singer and guitarist, said: “We were asked earlier this year if we’d like to have a go at writing a song for an upcoming film and after watching it at a private screening we headed straight to the studio.

“This song came together incredibly quickly, because the film evoked so many nostalgic feelings that it was easy to draw lyrics from. It is about taking a leap of faith, maybe you don’t land where you expected, but you like what you find.”
