Trelawnyd’s very own folk festival returns this July.

Folk at the Hall will be back again in 2019 will welcome some of the biggest folk acts from across the UK as crowds pack into the village for two fantastic days of music on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7.

This year’s festival will be headlined by Scottish icon Karen Matheson – champion of Scots Gaelic music and singer with the group, Capercaillie – and Welsh group Calan.

Kelda Manley, festival director, said: “We’ve always booked musicians that we love for the festival and been amazed by the massive artists who have graced our festival stage in the past.

“They include Dougie MacLean, Karine Polwart, Lau, Wolfstone, Manran and RURA to name a few.” Last year was a huge one for us and we flew Dreamers’ Circus over from Denmark and it was an incredible evening.”

The family-run festival has built a big reputation over the last five years with quality music, great home-cooked food and a bar stocked with locally sourced drinks.

Kalda added: “Following each year with another great line-up is always hard but we feel we’ve got it right again and we’re really excited about seeing all the bands, volunteers and audiences again!”

The supporting line will include False Lights, two-time Folk Award-winners Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar, former Bellowhead member Rachael McShane, Orkney band Gnoss, Gilmore and Roberts, Hannah Rarity, Grace Petrie and Folk Award nominees Ryan Young and Ninebarrow.

Camping is available for the festival, with a special camping concert featuring English singer Harri Endersby on the Saturday morning.
