Inbetweeners star and stand-up comedian Greg Davies is set to headline a night of comedy at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre to in aid of the Central Youth Theatre.

The event will take place on Monday June 8 and will also feature Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week star Katherine Ryan, host and Perrier Winner Daniel Kitson, as well as returning funny men Elis James and Pappys (Badults).

Building on the success of last year’s gala, where over 900 people watched sets from Josh Widdicombe and Jon Richardson.

Former youth theatre member Tom Parry has organised the event, which hopes to raise money to help relocate the youth theatre to a new permanent home, opposite the Grand Theatre itself.

Tom Parry said: “We are really grateful to Greg Davies for joining our line-up.

“He hasn’t appeared on stage for 18 months, so we are sure there are plenty of comedy fans out there who will be overjoyed to get the opportunity to see him perform live.”

Another former youth theatre member Celeste Dring, half of sketch group Lazy Susan, joins the line-up which promises a surprise guest TV star, to be revealed on the night.
