SUNNY Caribbean sounds, fantastic food and free family fun will be on offer at Wolverhampton Art Gallery on Sunday (July 3).

The Lichfield Street gallery is kicking off its new Sunday opening times with the special event, offering visitors a taste of the Caribbean.

Live music from Culture Dub Orchestra, All Hands on Decks and Al Newman will fill the gallery spaces while visitors enjoy lots of hot and spicy food.

Children can have a go a Kalillo drumming workshops, facepainting, dominoes and make mini-me figures.

Visitors can also enjoy two major art exhibitions celebrating black creativity - In Fine Style: The Dancehall Art of Wilfred Limonious and Black Art in Focus, featuring iconic work by a number of acclaimed artists including Turner Prize winner Chris Ofili, Tam Joseph, Keith Piper, Claudette Johnson and Donald Rodney.

The Sunny Caribbean Sunday runs from 2pm at the gallery, which is now opening its doors every Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
