THE Russian State Ballet of Siberia is bringing three of the world’s most popular ballets to the Black Country.

The company’s 15th UK tour and will feature exquisite performances of The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Coppelia live on the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre stage.

Formed in 1981, the Russian State Ballet of Siberia has become established as one of the world’s leading ballet companies.

The Nutcraker, the most famous of fantasy ballets for all the family, will be performed at 4pm on Sunday (February 5), followed by the greatest romantic ballet of all time – Swan Lake – at 7.30pm on Monday (February 6).

The trio of performances will conclude with the charming comedy of errors Coppelia at 7.30pm on Tuesday (February 7).

Artistic director, Sergei Bobrov, said: “It is always a pleasure to bring the unique traditions of Russian Ballet to British audiences.

“Touring with a full company of dancers as well as highly skilled musicians is always exciting. For me, it is very special to have the power of a symphony orchestra bringing the choreography to life on stage.”
