Home And Away could be welcoming two married couples in 2015, according to the show’s producer Lucy Addario.
She remained tight-lipped about who would be tying the knot, but teased to Australia’s TV Week: “There are two proposals I know of. We love a wedding in Home and Away, so there is bound to be one for 2015.”
Lucy also revealed that there will be some heartbreak on the cards, hinting: “It wouldn’t be Summer Bay without some heartache! One of our favourite couples will split, but there will be some hot new couples too!”
And she teased that Matt Page (Alec Snow) could be tempted to return to his philandering ways when his girlfriend Sasha Bezmel (Demi Harman) leaves Summer Bay.
Demi decided to bow out of the show after three-and-a-half years, saying it was the right time to leave.
Lucy said: “Sasha will be put in a difficult situation where she has to weigh up her future and her relationship with Matt. It will be a testing time. Here’s hoping Matt won’t return to his old ways.”
The soap’s producer also explained how George Mason’s character Ash will bring a new element to the River Boys.
“With the arrival of Ash, there is a new and exciting chapter to the River Boys. Even though they are not blood, Brax considers him family,” she said.
“We also can’t forget Kyle who – even though he wasn’t one of the original River Boys – audiences will see really step up. He will become an authoritative figure as more responsibility falls on his shoulders,” she added.
