British TV presenter James Corden will host the Tony Awards.
The Gavin & Stacey star, currently the host of CBS’s “The Late Late Show”, will make his debut on June 12 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.
The comedian and actor has been on Broadway twice and won a Tony in 2012 as best leading actor in a play for “One Man, Two Guvnors.”
He told AP: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Tony Awards.
“Both times I’ve worked on Broadway have been amongst the happiest times of my professional life. I consider it a huge honour to be asked to host such an incredible night.
“It’s gonna be fun, I can’t wait to dust off my tap shoes!”
The Tonys will be broadcast on American channel CBS.
