THE Fizzogs will once again be bringing their raucous brand of comedy to the Black Country Festival.

Sue Hawkins, Deb Nicholls and Jacky Fellows, who formed their humorous Black Country act around 14 years ago, will be performing their popular pantomime Kippin Beauty at Netherton Arts Centre on Friday July 17 and Saturday July 18, which according to Deb is "definitely a panto with a difference".

And joining them will be acclaimed Walsall comedy actress Gill Jordan of Doreen's Story fame.

The Fizzogs will also be warming up runners ahead of this year's Great Black Country Run taking place in Halesowen on Sunday July 5, as well as joining forces with The Empty Can band, who recorded the Black Country anthem, to put on a variety night called Funny as Folk, featuring music and comedy sketches, at Netherton Arts Centre, Northfield Road, Netherton, on Friday July 31.

Fast earning themselves legendary status, the Fizzogs will also be entertaining the crowds with their 'dancing grannies' routine at Stourbridge Carnival on Sunday July 5 and Halesowen's Victorian Fair on Sunday July 19.

The comedy group became an internet sensation after last year's performance at the carnival and Black Country Festival when a fan posted a video on Facebook of their 'dancing grannies' routine which saw them gyrating to Beyonce’s Single Ladies and Gangnam Style.

Councillor Pete Lowe, leader of Dudley Council, said: "The Fizzogs performance at last year’s Black Country Festival went down a storm and we are expecting nothing less this year.”

Tickets for Kippin Beauty and Funny as Folk cost £12 each and they are available online from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/fizzogproductions or call 07757 424618.
