YOUNG theatre fans can see children's book characters Winnie and Wilbur brought to life on stage in a spell-binding show at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
A new play, based on the bestselling picture books by Valerie Thomas and Korky Paul about absent-minded witch Winnie and her black cat Wilbur, is running at The REP in Broad Street from Friday March 31 to Saturday April 22.
The new musical adaptation of the much-loved books is the work of leading British playwright Mike Kenny whose adaptation of The Railway Children won an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment.
Full of songs, laughs and slapstick fun - the show, directed by Liam Steel, sees the inseparable pair getting ready for Winnie's birthday party.
Sophie Russell stars as Winnie and Ben Thompson as Wilbur and the show is suitable for children aged three and upwards.
