Personal Overview - From relatively humble origins, his father worked as a bus driver, the new Commons recruit has achieved a great deal in his former career in business. His main focus was on raising investment funds for initiatives. He took over the seat from fellow Tory Julie Kirkbride who had been hoping for a post in Government but due to her complicity in the Expenses Scandal had to settle for retirement from front-line politics. Given his substantial business experience and media capabilities it would be unusual if the Whips weren't paying him particular attention in terms of potential future promotion. This was duly achieved at the September 2012 reshuffle when he joined the Government at the Treasury.

Personal Overview - An experienced political campaigner who entered the European Parliament in December 2011 after an additional UK seat had been created following the Lisbon Treaty. She had previously stood for election to the European Parliament in 2009 She has a successful business background and has managed large international projects for large companies such as IBM, 3M and GEC in the UK and Europe. Was notable as being the youngest County Councillor in England in 1977 when elected to Hereford and Worcester County Council. She has also been an Ambassador for the Federation of Small Business Real Life Entrepreneur Campaign and is a former FSB County Secretary.
