Creditable county showing
A HOST of Halesowen Athletic and Cycling Club top young athletes stepped up to represent Worcestershire in the Inter Counties Championship and left with their heads held high.
Harvey Brown performed well to finish fifth and was in contention for a medal until the closing stages at the Wollaton Park event, in Nottingham.
Fresh from his run in the English Schools, Tom Rankin was next back for the county in 89th place with Alex Wyer, Ben Symonds and Joe Somers completing a very successful season for the U13s boys team.
Annie Robertson ran well in the U13s girls race to finish in 232nd place.
Emily Monk's debut season in the U15s girls finished well with 64th place with Jade Burke back in 76th. In the U15 boys, Liam Taylor finished 217th and Josh Beardsmore 277th to provide strong support.
Beth Young was the sole county representative in the U17s girls and finished 78th, while Tom Trow Poole came home in 194th position for the U17s men.
