Fined for being drunk and disorderly

A 23-YEAR-OLD Dudley woman has been fined by Dudley Magistrates for being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

Leila Mliga of Charlton Street, was fined £40 and ordered to pay £15 compensation and £87 court costs by magistrates on May 6 for drunk and disorderly behaviour in a public place.

The court also fined the defendant £60 for failing to surrender to custody.

Also in court on May 6: Sandeep Sunny Gill, aged 22, of Tudor Terrace, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £300 compensation and £87 court costs for causing £300 worth of damage to a window belonging to PJ's.

Maria Elizabeth Thompson, aged 36, of Foxmeadow Close, Sedgley, was handed a 36 month conditional discharge order as well as being made to pay £175 court costs for failing to notify Social Security of a change in circumstances with a view of obtaining Income Support.

Zaheer Hussain, aged 24, of Aston Road, Dudley, was handed an order of absolute discharge as well as being made to pay £301.98 compensation and £50 court costs caused £450 worth of damage to a wheel clamp.

May 5: Neil Lloyd Gordon, aged 43, of Chapel Court, Brierley Hill, was fined £35 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for stealing a bottle of vodka worth £16.82 from Somerfields.

The defendant was also fined £35 for failing to surrender to custody.

May 7: Tremaine Lloyd Williams, aged 36, of Merryfield Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge as well as being made to pay £150 compensation for causing £200 worth of damage to a window belonging to Dudley Council.

Anthony Willetts, aged 53, of Northfield Road, Netherton, was disqualified from driving for 16 months, fined £300, ordered to pay £15 compensation and £87 court costs for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

The defendant was also fined £200 for driving without insurance.

He was also fined £100 for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

May 8: Darren Andrew Hill, aged 41, of Turners Grove, Lower Gornal, was handed a two year supervised community order, ordered to pay £50 compensation and £67 court costs for assault.

The defendant was also given a two year community order to run concurrent with the above, as well as £50 compensation for assault.

Sikander Mahmood, aged 21, of North Street, Dudley, was fined £80 and disqualified from driving for 42 days, for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £20 and ordered to pay £67 court costs for driving without a test certificate.

May 9: Jonathan Phillip Thomas Bennett, aged 32, of Church Street, Gornal Wood, was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £230 and ordered to pay £15 compensation and £67 court costs for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Christopher Robert Handley, aged 38, of Vicarage Prospect, Dudley, was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 18 months as well as being ordered to pay £87 court costs for possessing heroin.
