Stourbridge building society dishes out charity dosh

STOURBRIDGE charities are better off after a building society dished out some dosh to good causes nominated by customers.

Visitors to the Yorkshire Building Society branch on Stourbridge High Street were asked who they thought should get a £100 donation during a week-long campaign in the summer.

Mary Stevens Hospice, Callum 4 U, the Side by Side Theatre Company, Beauty for Ashes and the Blue Cross were all chosen to get a donation for the society’s Make a Difference Week campaign.

Branch manager, Kulvinder Kullar, said: “As a building society we try and support the charities and local good causes in the areas where our members live and work and I hope that theses donations will truly make a difference in Stourbridge.”
