Charity disco in aid of Dudley scout group

A KATES Hill scout group which is desperately trying to raise £30,000 to keep afloat is holding a charity disco later this week in aid of its appeal.

The 7th Dudley Scout Group, which is the longest running and last remaining group in Central Dudley has launched the ambitious 12 month fundraiser to raise urgent funds to repair and refurbish its 46 year-old headquarters in Watsons Green Road.

If the club cannot raise the funds to also install vital security measure around the building, it may be forced to close before reaching its 100th year milestone.

To help raise funds for its 45 young Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, a charity disco is being held on Friday at the Quality Hotel on Birmingham Road.

The event will take place from 8pm until 12pm and entrance is by ticket only, which costs £5.
