More shopping hours at Merry Hill

First published in News

SHOPPERS can shop until they drop as Merry Hill launches its festive extended late night openings.

From tomorrow (Monday) the shopping centre will be open until 10pm on weekdays as well as 8pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sundays, with opening hours extending further until midnight in the final week before Christmas (December 17 – 21).

Kelly Reed, marketing manager at Westfield Merry Hill said: “The festive season can be a bit manic – so we’re hoping to give a helping hand and make everything as convenient as possible for our customers this year.

“Our long opening hours, particularly on the weekdays, will give customers the ultimate flexibility and our free parking means it doesn’t have to cost the earth to go shopping. We also have a host of exciting events and activities planned this year to keep shoppers entertained. “No other shopping centre in the Midlands is staying open as late as Merry Hill so we anticipate lots of late night shopping trips!”

I hope you are right and people do take responsibility and only spend what they can afford. That would be my advice. what i am saying is the financial pressure on families these days , Christmas is only one day after all .
i think big corporations like westfield dont help the pressure on mom and dad with the in your face publicity . Its all sell sell; its all false. places like Bham are much better places to go and have a great winterfest...because unlike westfield it really as a real christmas feel plus the german market...

And let's not forget those who live or work near the Merry Hill Centre, who find themselves suffering massive inconvenience as the whole area gets gridlocked. Thanks, Westfield , for ignoring us every year.
