A 56 YEAR-old woman was kicked to the ground in Dudley town centre as thieves tried to snatch her handbag in broad daylight.

The attack happened in Stone Street on October 4 at around 2.30pm and left the woman with a minor injury to her leg after she was kicked from behind.

A man attempted to grab her handbag but the woman fought him off and managed to keep hold of it.

DC Nick Slym, from Dudley CID, said: “We want to hear from anyone who recognises either of the men in the CCTV images and can help with our investigation.

“This attempted robbery happened during the middle of the afternoon when there would have been people out and about in the area and we would ask any witnesses to contact us.”

If you have any information about the incident contact Dudley CID on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
