CHILDREN at Netherton CE Primary School were treated to an afternoon of festive slapstick fun as they took part in an interactive pantomime experience.
A group from Wolverhampton Grand Theatre treated youngsters at the Highbridge Road school to a special show to explain the history and traditions behind pantos, from the comfort of their own school hall.
The play, which was devised, directed and performed by the theatre’s own Christmas panto dame, Nigel Ellacott, as part of the theatre’s educational outreach work, also featured professional panto actors Andrew Ryan and Nathan Daniel.
At the end of the performance five brave audience members – including two members of staff – were dressed up to resemble some of the most well-known panto characters.
