A BOROUGH craft group run by a group of mental health service users has been boosted by a £500 donation by Netherton police.
Woodside Crafts, which is based at Woodside day centre, offers adults recovering from mental illness the chance to make their own wooden crafts and garden furniture, which are then sold to the public.
The donation was made from the West Midlands Police Proceeds of Crime Act, which allows officers to recover money and assets gained by offenders through their criminal activity.
PCSO Craig Dawson, said: “I am so happy this group have secured funding. The charity really does have a positive impact on the community and without this funding, and they would struggle to continue to supply the group with materials.
"This is a great example of neighbourhood policing and positive partnership work with our local community."
