DUDLEY Magstrates have ordered the destruction of a pet dog, which they ruled to be a danger to public safety.

Craig Raymond Montroy, aged 24, of Selbourne Road, was given 21 days to lodge an appeal against the order when he appeared in court on January 2.

The defendant was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for owning a dog which was dangerously out of control on Buffery Park on September 15 2012.

Shaun Green, aged 44, of Vicarage Prospect, Dudley, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £5.49 compensation, £15 costs and £85 court costs, for stealing a bottle of wine from Co-op.

Steven Anthony Davis, aged 40, of Marriott Road, Dudley, was jailed for eight weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 court costs, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

The defendant was also jailed for eight weeks concurrent suspended for 12 months, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

He was also jailed for eight weeks concur rent suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 compensation, for assaulting a police officer.

Julie Ellis, aged 41, of St Johns Road, Kates Hill, was jailed for eight weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 court costs, for stealing £486.42 worth of groceries and cosmetics from Tesco.

Lee Mark Ettle, aged 38, of Wealdstone Drive, Lower Gornal, was handed a 12-month community order and ordered to pay £85 court costs, for trespassing into Motorstop and stealing electrical goods and loose cash to the value of £700.

Chad Christopher Fellows, aged 21, of Highland Road, Dudley, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for destroying a light fitting, TV and bed to the value of £250.

In court on January 4:

Andrew Paul Dublin, aged 28, of Ivanhoe Street, Dudley, was fined £50 for stealing three jars of coffee from One Stop Store.

David Paul Elespe, aged 31, of Hallchurch Road, Holly Hall, was handed a 12-month community order for stealing two Bosch drills, worth £299.98, from Clas ohlsen.

Ricky James Field, aged 19, of Tennyson Street, Pensnett, was handed a 12-month community order and ordered to pay £60 costs for attempting to steal items belonging to Staffs Army Cadet Force.

Farooq Mohammed, aged 32, of Cromwell Drive, Dudley, was jailed for four weeks consecutive, for stealing ten boxes of condoms and three boxes of Lemsip, worth £13.30, from Poundland.

The defendant was also jailed for six weeks consecutive, for stealing clothing from Matalan.

Jamie Alex Bowater, aged 29, of Bluebell Road, Dudley, was fined £65 and ordered to pay £300 compensation, £15 costs and £85 court costs, for destroying a £400 iPhone.
