Make a date to explore Wren's Nest Nature Reserve

WARDENS at Wren’s Nest national nature reserve will be hosting a walk next weekend to attract new visitors to the site.

On Sunday January 27, wardens will lead a two-hour walk around the reserve to introduce them to what makes the Wren’s Nest so special.

It will also include a fossil hunt on the reserve to hunt out the famous Dudley bug.

Councillor Tracy Wood, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “Wren’s Nest is a fascinating area and often people are unaware or don’t think about visiting attractions which are on their door step. This walk is a perfect opportunity to get to know what the Wren’s Nest is famous for and to see firsthand what exciting developments have been made on site in recent years.”

People should meet on the car park on the Mons Hill College site in Wren’s Hill Road at 10am. Participants are advised to wear walking boots.
