Dudley gym raises funds for Kelli

A DUDLEY ladies-only gym has raised £460 for a four-year-old girl who is battling cancer.
Unique Fitness in Wolverhampton Street held a ladies night, complete with nail artists, jewellery stalls, a workout workshop and entertainment, to raise funds for Kelli Smith, from Sutton Coldfield, who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma when she was just a few months old.
After undergoing gruelling chemotherapy sessions for a mass in her abdomen, Kelli’s family were told the cancer had gone and she was given the all-clear.
However doctors have recently discovered three further tumours in her abdomen, with one of the only options available for relapsed sufferers is treatment abroad, costing in excess of £500,000.
Raj Kaur, Unique Fitness manager, said: “Many children with Neuroblastoma have died but many other have reached their target and go on to receive the treatment they need. This is why we need to raise as much awareness and money to help cure Kelli and many other children with childhood cancer and give them a chance to live.”
