LOWER Gornal students will be taking to the stage again this week to re-perform their school production of Phantom of the Opera.
The pupils from Ellowes Hall performed the musical over a week in November last year, but following its success and extra demand, the Stickley Lane school has decided to hold a further four special performances this week – including two black tie events.
More than 100 pupils from years seven to 12 are involved in the popular musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with two teams of leading characters, who will perform iconic songs such as Think of Me, Music of the Night and Phantom of the Opera accompanied by a full orchestra.
The show will run Wednesday and Thursday at 7.30pm and Friday and Saturday at 7pm.
Tickets, which are all available from the school reception, are priced £6 for the Wednesday and Thursday performances and £8 for the Friday and Saturday black tie formal event, which includes hot food.
