A SEDGLEY-based animal charity is hoping a borough family can take in a Jack Russell / Chihuahua cross, who has had a real ‘woof start’ to her young life.
Two year-old Ruby, was taken in by Dudley Animal Rescue as a stray. Following medical checks it was discovered Ruby had luxating patella, a common condition in small dogs, which means she has floating kneecaps.
She was placed with a foster family and finally found a new home with a middle-aged couple, but was returned three-weeks later when her new owner suddenly died.
Marion Fisher, who runs the rescue, said: “She has a rough start due to these tragic circumstances and now needs a forever home to settle into, as she’s had a lot of upheaval in a short time.
“She is an adorable dog with a lovely nature. You just want to pick her up and munch her little face.”
Anyone interested in adopting Ruby should contact Marion on 01902 676559.
Ideally the charity would like to rehome her with a middle-aged family but no all day workers.
