Renew wedding vows at cathedral valentine service

MARRIED couples are being invited to renew their wedding vows at a special service at Worcester Cathedral on Valentine’s Day.

From 7pm on Thursday (February 14) there will be a short celebratory service for couples taking place in the cathedral’s Lady Chapel.

The Bishop of Dudley, who will be preaching at the service, said: “Valentine’s Day is traditionally when we celebrate love and commitment. The Christian Church has long understood the importance of committing to marriage and we hope that couples will join us so we can pray with them for God’s continuing support with the joys and challenges of married life.”
