TWO animal-loving friends have set up a unique business in Brierley Hill offering day care facilities for the borough’s dogs.

Teresa Neath and Debbie Moore have launched Companion Pets on Dudley Road, where residents can drop off their pooch to enjoy a day of pampering.

During their stay, dogs can socialise with other canines, tuck into doggy treats and take part in exercise sessions, while being cared for by fully qualified staff.

The ladies also offer a dog spa and grooming parlour, a pet supplies store and holiday boarding accommodation for small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs.

They are also hoping to launch an accredited training school in the coming months.

Teresa, aged 27, who has been friends with 39 year-old Debbie for eight years, said: “We wanted to provide something in the area which has everything under one roof. There is nothing like us.”

The Mayor and Mayoress of Dudley, Councillor Melvyn and Michelle Mottram, officially opened the new venture on February 2.
