Community groups benefit from approved grants

A NUMBER of community groups are benefiting from grants approved by Dudley councillors during the first round of community forums.

The Friends of Netherton Park group was granted £750 to purchase equipment to enable them to clear and maintain the wildlife area of the park.

St James’s Road Neighbourhood Watch was handed £500 from the ward budget, for its continued hire of Dudley United Reformed Church Hall.

While an application from Oval Tenants and Residents Association for £2,397.60 was also approved by councillors for them to replace 60 metres of fencing on the boundary of Eve Lane and grazing land on Swanbrook Valley.
