A BOROUGH dancer has a £250,000 cash prize well and truly in his sight after securing a place in the finals of Sky 1’s popular TV show, Got to Dance.

Kingswinford teenager, Joe Priest, one fifth of Antics Dance Crew, once again wowed judges Diversity’s Ashley Banjo, former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and JLS singer Anton Merrygold, with their energetic street-comedy dance routine, to win their semi-finals heat last night following a public vote.

The crew made up of 19 year-old Oscar McDevitt from Tividale, 22 year-old Matthew Grieh, Nathan Marsh aged 22 and 21 year-old Jordan Breakspear, from Birmingham, are now busily rearranging their schedules to fit in extra rehearsals ahead of their final showdown on March 17, after narrowly missing out on the prize money last year, promising “bigger tricks and better moves” for their forthcoming routine.

Former Bromley Hills Primary and Crestwood School pupil, Joe, aged 19, who returns back to lectures this afternoon at the University of East London said: “Everything is crazy. We can’t believe the support we’ve been getting. I was a bag of nerves all day, so much more nervous than last year, so it was such a relief when we heard Davina call out our name.

“We were really pleased with how the routine went and couldn’t believe the judges’ comments, they were amazing.

“We are going to be working really hard over the next week on a new routine, as it would mean everything to win the competition.”
