Dudley residents encouraged to be borough tourists

DUDLEY residents are being encouraged to become tourists and enjoy discounts at doorstep attractions next week.
Several of the borough’s visitor attractions are offering discounted tickets or special offers to mark the national ‘Be a local tourist week’ which runs from March 16 – 24.
Dudley Zoo and the Black Country Living Museum are offering two for one offers, while Dudley Canal Tunnel and Limestone Mines have early bird offers.
The Copthorne Hotel and Quality Hotel in Dudley are running discounted meal offers, while Nando’s at Castlegate is also showcasing special prcies throughout the week.
Dudley Library will also be hosting a one-off storytelling cafe at Dudley Library on Wednesday, March 20.
Councillor Tracy Wood, cabinet member for environment and culture said: “Sometimes when something is on your doorstep you just end up ignoring it.
"Be a local tourist week is there to remind us that there are so many amazing things to see and do in our borough from our museums, to our history and heritage, to our hotels and restaurants.”
