Donate old clothes for cancer charity
5:00pm Sunday 17th March 2013 in News
DUDLEY shoppers are being urged to drop off their unwanted clothes at Wilkinson to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
A clothes collection point will be in the Dudley High Street store until Tuesday, April 30, for customers and staff to donate clothing in support of the shop’s regional charity of the year.
Members of the public can drop off quality high street clothes, shoes, belts, accessories and household linen and for every tonne of clothing collected, at least £300 will be donated to the cancer charity.
Carole Ballinger, store manager at Wilkinson in Dudley, said: “We really hope our loyal customers can help us with this fundraiser, as we believe everyone must have at least one item of clothing they can recycle.
“Whether it’s a coat you don’t wear anymore or something the kids have grown out of, it can all be recycled for Macmillan Cancer Support, rather than ending up in landfill.”
