GAME for a laugh teachers at a Dudley secondary school pitted their wits against a bucking sheep to raise more than £850 for Comic Relief.

Pupils at Castle High School paid 10p to vote for the teachers they would most like to see desperately clinging onto a robotic spinning sheep as part of a fundraising day.

The six teachers with the highest number of votes took turns on the ride in front of 250 pupils, who had paid 50p for the privilege of watching and cheering them on, with new deputy head teacher, Mr Moore – who also donned a white fluffy sheep onesie - lasting the longest for 44 seconds.

Heather Buttery, Castle High School student voice co-ordinator, said: “It was a great day and we are delighted to have raised so much money.

“We held a cake sale in the morning with cakes donated by staff and also staff and students paid £1 to wear a onesie for the day if they wanted. It was a very comfy day!”
