Store ban for shoplifter, 27

DUDLEY Magistrates have banned a 27-year-old Netherton woman from entering any Spar store within the Dudley Borough.

Appearing in court on March 5, Lisa Jane Evans, of Northfield Road, was jailed for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £6.55 and ordered to pay £80 costs, as well as being handed the two-year anti-social behaviour order which also prevented her from entering the majority of retail premises in Dudley town centre, for stealing a £6.55 bottle of wine from Spar.

The order prevents Evans from entering any store within Stafford Street, High Street, Wolverhampton Street, Union Street, Priory Street,New Street, Tower Street, Castle Street, Fisher Street, Fountain Arcade, Birmingham Street and King Street.

The defendant was also jailed for 16 weeks concurrent suspended for 12 months, as well as being ordered to pay £40 compensation, for stealing boxes of chewing gum, worth £40 from Poundland.

Also in court on March 5:

Rebecca Jones, aged 32, of Grange Road, Dudley, was handed a 12-month community order for stealing a pack of Cow and Gate baby milk powder, to the value of £7.99, from Boots Chemist.

The defendant was also handed a 12- month community order and ordered to pay £60 court costs, for stealing cheese, steak and coffee, worth £40.81, from Aldi.

Ricky James Field, aged 19, of Tennyson Street, Pensnett, was handed a community order and ordered to pay £80 costs, for attempting to steal items from within a van, belonging to Staffs Army Cadet Force.

In court on March 4:

Anthony Jason Robinson, aged 40, of Cook Avenue, Dudley, was fined £200 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 12 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Paul Wilton, aged 37, of Wolverton Road, Kates Hill, was handed a sixmonth conditional discharge and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for possessing cannabis.

In court on March 6:

Christopher Ronald Welch, aged 30, of Mossdale Way, Sedgley, was jailed for two weeks, for stealing chocolate worth £10.50 from Spar.

The defendant was also jailed for two weeks consecutive for stealing chocolate worth £120.58 from Spar.

He was also jailed for two weeks consecutive for stealing chocolate worth £313 from Spar.

The defendant was also jailed for two weeks consecutive for stealing alcohol and deodorant.

He was also jailed for two weeks consecutive for stealing coffee and meat, worth £32.58, from Co-op.

Melina Jane Hands, aged 29, of Yew Tree Road, Netherton, was handed a 12-month community order and ordered to pay £75 compensation, £60 costs and £85 court costs, for damaging a glass door pane.

Neil Alfred Keyes, aged 55, of Bordeaux Close, Milking Bank, was fined £250 and ordered to pay £25 and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 12 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

In court on March 7:

Damien Ben Taylor, aged 21, of Sedgley Hall Avenue, Sedgley, was handed a 12-month community order and ordered to pay £60 costs and £85 court costs, for breaching a nonmolestation order by sending two text messages.

The defendant was also handed a 12- month community order for breaching a non-molestation order by going within 100 metres a prohibited address.

Sarah Stubbs, aged 36, of Osprey Drive, Dudley, was handed a 12- month community discharge for failing to notify Dudley Council of a change of circumstances which would affect housing benefit entitlement.

The defendant was also handed a 12- month community discharge and ordered to pay £295 for failing to notify Dudley Council of a change of circumstances which would affect council tax benefit.

In court on March 8:

Shaun Phillip Mitton, aged 30, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was jailed for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £45 compensation and £85 court costs, for stealing cheese and bacon, worth £45 from Iceland.

The defendant was also jailed for 12 weeks consecutive to the above and ordered to pay £30 compensation, for stealing cheese and bacon, worth £30 from Iceland.

Luke Paul Mills, aged 20, of Bishops Close, Kates Hill, was handed a 12- month community order and ordered to pay £200 compensation and £60 costs and £85 court costs, for interfering with a motor vehicle.
