Himley Hall & Park weaves the magic of Christmas on December 9th and 10th and will be welcoming young and the young at heart for a Winter Wonderland weekend to remember.

Steam engines and a fairground organ, a traditional carousel fair ride and donkey rides - not to mention the aroma of hot roast chestnuts and Christmas seasonal food - will set the scene in the courtyard of the Hall.

Himley will also be home to the Thomas the Tank Engine' land train which will be taking passengers aboard for rides from Himley Station' along the main drive through the park at £1.50 a ride.

Traditional donkey rides in the woodland coppice are just £1.50 with funfair rides also available and what better place to buy your perfect tree than at the Winter Wonderland Christmas tree stall?

Inside the historic hall there will be a festive craft fair by Countrywide Crafts where visitors can do some last minute Christmas gift shopping.

Admission to the event is by car priced at just £4 per car.

The specially created Santa's Grotto on the lawns of Himley Hall will bring back the sheer magic of everyone's childhood Christmas, with its twinkling starlit ceiling and Santa in residence in his log cabin.

Santa will arrive and be ready in his Grotto at 11.30am on Saturday and from 10.45am on Sunday. Grotto admission is £ 4 per child.

"If you need a treat to get you in the festive mood then Himley's Winter Wonderland is the perfect answer," says Sally Piazzalunga, principal leisure officer at Himley Hall & Park.

"Santa's Grotto is pure magic - when you walk inside it feels as though you are watching millions of twinkling stars in a frosty Christmas night-sky.

"Winter Wonderland is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations!"

For those who need a break from all the festive fun, Himley Hall's Oak Tea Room will be open on both days, offering light refreshments and traditional festive fare.
