8:00am Tuesday 3rd September 2013 in News
THE generosity of borough residents has not only helped Age UK Dudley keep its activity centres open but has also funded an autumn activity programme.
Recent fundraising events have raised more than £4,000, allowing the charity’s activity programme - the Springboard Project - to launch a variety of new activities, courses and day trips for the over 50s.
Courses that will be available at the three activity centres at Merry Hill, Brierley Hill and Netherton from Monday September 16 include Spanish for beginners, photography and numerous IT introductory sessions.
Some activities, including pool, bowls and cards are aimed at for men but other weekly activities include exercise for all, a drama group, choir, zumba, knitting and crochet and line dancing.
