WACKERS won a thrilling contest with Dudley Olympic 4-3 to progress in this season’s Dudley Guest Hospital Cup.
At one stage Wackers appeared to be coasting home when going 4-1 up thanks to a couple of goals from Danny Smith plus further strikes by Anthony Parks and Anthony Kent.
Olympic made a real fight of things in the second half through goals from Jake and Aaron Fellows and a third by Gareth Hadden with 14 minutes remaining, but Wackers held out.
Barley Mow Wanderers also progressed beating Dudley Borough United 2-0 where two goals from Tom Mills did the trick.
Lloyds and Hadcroft Rovers must meet again this week after they finished 3-3 .
In the Premier Division, Sedgley White Lion eclipsed King Williams 3-0 through goals from David Jones, Chris Campbell and Les Hickens.
Alex Perry plundered four goals as Pensnett United beat Britiannia 7-3 while Bush Athletic battered Willenhall Three Crowns 16-0, Kieron Bennett leading the carnage with five goals while Jason Chilton and Adam Harris both hit hat-tricks.
In Division One, Kewford Eagles came on strong in the second half to beat Forest Falcons 7-3 after the scores had been level pegging at half time 1-1. Coseley Tavern proved too strong for Halesowen Members winning 8-2.
